    First Job Shipped from Montgomery, AL Facility

    RockCast shipped its first job for the Montgomery Airport from the newly opened Montgomery, Alabama hand tamp facility.  The Airport addition consisted of 80 cubic feet (Crystal White) material shipped from the Montgomery facility and 120 (12") stretchers manufactured at our Cincinnati, Ohio plant.

    RockCast Opens New Hand Tamp Facility

    After months of planning, RockCast is excited to announce the opening of our new Montgomery, Alabama hand tamp facility.  RockCast will be manufacturing our custom cast stone products in monotone colors at the new location.

    Two New Additions to RockCast Team

    To help keep up with demand, Reading Rock has added two new positions; a Senior Project Manager with 20 years experience in Commercial Construction and a University of Cincinnati (College of DAAP) co-op student who recently finished an internship in the aerospace industry.  The new associates will help manage RockCast accounts and projects as well as assist in the day-to-day operations of the division as we continue to experience growth in the marketplace.

    RockCast Chosen for Baystate Medical Center

    Baystate Medical Center is building a new 641,000 sq. ft. facility that will house a dedicated heart and vascular center, new patient care units with spacious private rooms, and shell space for future growth, all using the latest in environmentally friendly building practices.

    Baystate Medical Center was designed by Steffian Bradley Associates, Inc. (Boston, MA) and includes RockCast AMV and Custom Series (smooth and chiseled) in Savannah Blend. 

    Baystate Medical Center is a LEED project and Reading Rock's RockCast product helped contribute to the credits.

    RockCast Market Manager Achieves Green Associate!

    Reading Rock is excited to announce that another RockCast Market Manager has achieved LEED Green Associate by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).  After months of preparing and studying, he passed the rigorous test with flying colors.  He now joins a group of ten other Reading Rock associates who have earned the honor by the USGBC.

    Moeller High School Veteran Memorial

    To honor members of the Archbishop Moeller High School (Cincinnati, Ohio) family who have served honorably in the military services for four or more years, the school is building a veterans memorial wall, which be located at the high school's main entrance.  Doug Burwinkel, 1990 Moeller graduate and Senior Project Manager at Reading Rock designed the memorial which consists of an engraved RockCast wall surrounded by personalized PaverLock pavers.

    The ground breaking for this memorial will be held on Saturday, July 24 and dedicated on Veterans Day in November.
